The Wistmore children — John, Desiré, Priscilla and René — live in Nova Scotia. After losing both of their parents within the span of a few months, they are penniless and unsure what to do. But when a strange encoded message written on a piece of paper comes into their lives, it opens up a path they never thought possible.
